Greetings VCS Friends and Family,

I have been reflecting recently on so many of God’s answers to our prayers. He is teaching me trust, and patience, and increased faith.  It is humbling to look back on months past, even years, and see His fingerprints on conversations, opportunities, and situations. How very true it is that he has good plans for us and will always turn even disappointments, failures, or experiences in a fallen world for our good. He is a God of redemption! (Romans 8:28) 

A thought came to me recently: A team is always doing work in preparation for a team of members they have not met yet…or may never meet.  I don’t know if it is something I was reading, or listening to on the radio, or if it was formed in my own mind, but it made my heart jump.  The work we do is truly for His glory and His alone. The work we do is to benefit those ahead of us, the next class, the next graduates, the next generation, the next…the next…next…

Our reward is not guaranteed to be the fruit of what we have worked for. Our own children at times may not even be the happy recipients.  But like those in Hebrews who our God calls faithful, our reward is His pleasure, His glory, and His name raised high.  We consider our victory to be the culmination of the body of Christ at work, each on their own assigned and God given timeline.

ATTENTION! Change to drop off and dismissal Lines!

Beginning Monday, September 30th, we will be making a change to our drop off and dismissal lines. We will have all traffic enter the north entrance and park along the side walk on the east side of the building and exit, after loading their passengers, out the south entrance.  This keeps the majority of people on the sidewalk side to get into the bus and cars, keeping those pedestrians out of traffic flow as cars come and leave. 

Be remembering and planning for this change over the next week and please communicate to the office directly that you understand via an email.  In addition to this change we would like to remind all parents to arrive for pick ups no earlier than 3:00.  Thank you for your cooperation. 

Creation Trip
 

Again, we are praising God for the opportunity to take our 9th-12th grade students to Kentucky for our Creation Trip. We are busy with all the final preparations for the trip. Be praying for God to speak to their hearts  during this trip, for relationships to grow and mature, and for opportunities to minister, serve, and encourage others in the Love of the Lord along the way.
