Greetings VCS families and friends, 

With a short week here at school, the weekend has come quickly.  We have no students complaining!  We have a noticeable difference in attendance this week! Praise the Lord! We think that it was a blessing for students to have the chance to rest and recover. 

We are always praying for our VCS families’ health, homes, jobs, moms and dads at home and moms and dads in the workplace.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if there is something specific you would like us to commit in prayer for you or your family.  We love when you share good news as well. It fuels us and gives us an opportunity to rejoice with you over your victories as well!  

In homeroom this morning we were in 1 Thessalonians and talking about loving others well and taking the complications out of doing so.  Our marching orders and job description for the day may often be as simple as shared in 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12. 

Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on others. 

The Lord will lead us, even in a quiet walk, to those we can pray for and love. It may be meeting a small need or lending a hand or a smile that can encourage others and point them to the Love of Christ.  Our staff prayer is that even this weekend you would see the Lord move in this way.

School Choice Application Season around the Corner!!

School Choice application season is right around the corner! If you are a Wisconsin resident, consider applying on the Valley Christian Website.  The application opportunity begins February 3rd and ends April 17th.   Reach out to the office with questions and visit the School Choice Website at Home | School Choice Wisconsin.  Be looking on our Facebook page for updates and reminders and please share with friends and family.  We are blessed to have this opportunity in the state of Wisconsin and proud to be a School Choice Private Christian School.

Moms in Prayer

Moms in Prayer will be meeting on Mondays at 8:00 upstairs! If you can come and together lift up our families, students, school and community. Reach out to the office if you have any questions. 

Chaperones Needed

• We need 1 more chaperone for the 5th and 6th grade ski trip Jan 30th

• The 2nd grade class needs 3 chaperones for Como Zoo trip Feb. 6th

Help Needed Cleaning

We are looking for parent volunteers to help clean here and there. Anything, even an hour, would be of great help.  We are so grateful as a staff and student body to do life together in this beautiful building! There are approximately 132 VCS students and staff together five days a week. Our staff is doing an amazing job! For those of you who do not know, our secondary teachers supervise chore groups from 3:00 to 3:10 and our elementary teachers clean and maintain their own classrooms.  We are so proud and grateful for our students and staff! 

Recognition Awards

In Chapel this week we were excited to share some student recognitions! We honored both perfect attendance and “Chapel awards” for those who stand out in their example and attentiveness during chapel service.  We are so grateful for these kids and proud of them too! – Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
