JAGUAR NEWS

DEAR VCS PARENTS AND FRIENDS,

Resurrection Day

There is Joy in the air.  There is a sweet presence of anticipation for Resurrection Day.  We hear the kids talking about Jesus’ resurrection. Classes are teaching about the good news. Even the office printer continues to  print pictures of the cross and rocks rolling away!  It is a time to celebrate what He has done and what has been accomplished because of the cross and the Father’s great generosity in the gift of His Son.

Anticipation is faith. It is hope well placed. It is an expectation.  Hebrews 11:1 puts it this way, “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” It is important to remember what Christ has done. He laid down His life voluntarily for our own, making a selfless exchange for our justification, not by anything we could have done, but by His blood alone.  But while remembering, we must anticipate, because at the cross when He said,”It is finished,” was only the beginning.

Because of the cross we have forgiveness of sin and salvation. And we have in the gift of Jesus the availability for redemption, restoration, deliverance, and healing.  “For the joy set before him he endured the cross.” Hebrews 12:2 His reward is seeing us steward and experience what He died for.

May we all reflect on what Jesus has accomplished and made available to us! Praise him! He is Risen!

In Christ,

Kathy Thompson
