Greetings VCS friends and family,

It is an exciting season here! In the office and classrooms we can hardly believe that we are past Education Fair! We are so proud of the students and their hard work.  What a variety of projects they explored and shared.  I personally enjoyed so many. The “Statue of Liberty,” an “astronaut in space,” Native American tribes, missionaries, volcanos and more were proudly displayed.  

The work, the effort, the time, preparation, and joy that you saw on display was the students’ and teachers’ spiritual act of worship.  In homeroom this morning, we walked through Romans 12:1. 

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God – this is your true and proper worship.  

It is easy to overcomplicate, but in its simplicity, whatever we do in a posture of service and obedience to the Lord’s voice, is an act of worship.  That may look very different in a student, staff, or parent role but very much the same as well. We can pray for a willingness of heart, always keeping in mind “God’s mercy” toward us which will  compel us to love Him and love others.

OPEN HOUSE and Kindergarten Round-up! 

Registration fee is waived through April 8th

Please share with family and friends who may be interested in Valley Christian School that our open house is Tuesday, April 8th from 6:00-7:30! This is a wonderful opportunity for new and prospective families to tour the school, meet teachers, see classrooms, and learn about School Choice and enrollment.  This will also be an especially great evening to visit our Kindergarten classroom for kindergarten round up!  Please share our VCS Facebook post as well!

Thank you to everyone who has re-enrolled! We had a great turnout at Education Fair and many  re-enrolled that evening. They have continued to stream into the office this week as well. Thank you! This helps us so much! We are busy evaluating waitlists before the Open House and are already creating our summer “to do lists” and evaluating classroom needs for fall 2025.  Currently we have a waiting list for next year’s third grade class. Those already enrolled in our current second grade will be placed first. 

Crossing Guards Needed

Thank you to all our current crossing guards! We are in need of a morning crossing guard for Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.  The volunteer opportunity is from 7:45-8:00 each morning, greeting the students and making sure cars are paying attention as students make their way safely into the school. 

Parking and Pickups

This is just a friendly reminder to wait until 2:55 to line up for afternoon dismissal. We want to be respectful to our Osceola bus driver.
